Good place, plenty of good flat spots to pitch tents. A few easy and enjoyable walks.Lots of ranger and police patrols to respond to the history of minoritys causing disturbances, however the camp ground shows the effects of people not looking after it. Bushes full of toilet paper, trees hacked at rubbish left in some spots.
This could be an excellent place. Great bush, easy access and good sized sites. Unfortunately having easy access is probably it's downfall, trees hacked at, more rubbish than I've ever seen anywhere camping, chainsaws, loud music. Is a lovely place spoiled only by some (the normal minority) of those who use it.
Great place to camp, has a lot of camp sites and a few drop pit toilet's. Can even take the dog! Always has a bit of wild life around which can be nice also. Would be even nicer if people remembered to take there rubbish with them too.
Great campsite for those who like getting into the bush with minimalist amenities (long drop, no running water). Kids had a good time exploring the Kiln and I learned that you can actually power a petrol car using charcoal. Great history, great area and only an hour from Melbourne.
Definitely secluded! Theres a lot of camping sites that is sectioned off which is good. If your looking for some peace n quiet then this is definitely the place, although if you go during quiet seasons theres hardly anyone out there, I guess its busy in the school holidays, public holidays long weekends n stuff...? But its the real deal camping btw bring a toilet if u dont wanna go bush lol..
